How to Turn Leftover Rice to Shrimp Vegetable Doria

Doria (ドリア in japanese ) is an Italian rice dish gain it's popularity in Japan and france. It's baked cheese rice.

Supplies

  • 2 Cups Rice
  • 1 Bunch Kale
  • ⅓ Cups Heavy cream
  • 1 ¼ Cups Parsely
  • ½ Cups Leftover vegetables
  • ½ Cups Frozen peas
  • 1 Cup Onion
  • 1 ⅓ Milk (optional)
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Gather leftover rice and heavy cream. In this case, I happens to have brown and black rice.

    Step 2

    Gather left over vegetables. Such as parsly, corn, and zucchini.

    Step 3

    This is an efficient way to make Doria, no baking needed, just cook everything using one sauté pan. And this recipe is rather light without butter.

    Step 4

    Heat up the pan and cook the frozen shrimp and pea for about 5 minutes

    Step 5

    Add rice and cool for another 3 minutes

    Step 6

    Sautéed chopped onion until cooked.

    Step 7

    Add kale or any leafy greens and sauté for another minute

    Step 8

    Add cream or milk to "tender" the rice

    Step 9

    Add grated chees

    Step 10

    Cook until cheese blended well with the rice

    Step 11

    Beautifully flavored creamy rice
