How to Transplant a Seedling

How to translate a seedling step by step.

Instructions

Step 1

Mix potting soil with water until moist then make sure there are no clumps.

Step 2

Loosely fill 4" inch pot with soil to the top of the pot. Make a spot for the seedling in the center of the soil about 1/2"- 1" deep.

Step 3

Choose a seedling that has at least 1 set of true leaves.

Step 4

Carefully uproot the seedling without breaking the roots.

Step 5

Gently separate each plant from the others.

Step 6

Gently separate soil from roots.

Step 7

Insert seedling in the 4" pot by holding the leaves not the stem.

Step 8

Cover the roots with soil- don't bury the stem too deep.

Step 9

Keep the plants out of direct sunlight for at least 24 hours.
