How to Stir Fry Okra

Easiest of the okra dishes to make, you can eat it solo or as a side dish. Either ways, yum!!

Supplies

  • 1 ½ Pounds Okra
  • 2 Teaspoons Canola Oil
  • ½ Teaspoons Black Mustard Seeds
  • 4 Japanese Chili Pods
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • ½ Teaspoons Salt
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Chop the okra into quarters and season with ground turmeric, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander and salt.

    Step 2

    In a shallow pan over medium heat, add canola oil. As the oil heats up, add black mustard seeds and Japanese chili pods.

    Step 3

    As the mustard seeds start to crackle, add the okra and sauté. Cook covered for about 1/2 hour or until the okra is crisp.

    Step 4

    Enjoy with tortillas.
