Wake up early and go for a run or a walk.
Enjoy the view
Strainer or the filter you won't really need.
Grab a tea pot or water boiler.
Mug, a container with a lid to steep the tea and a small spoon.
The average weight is three grams per serving, you can weight it or you can use a tea spoon.
Or just eye ball it. Whatever makes you happy.
You shouldn't be needing these. Nonetheless feel free to use them, that's why they exist. Tea filters are good for on the go infusions.
Add some water to your kettle. Don't add crazy amounts since you shouldn't boil it multiple times. It loses quality when you do that. Tea Snob.
Bring it to a boil.
Put your secret stash away. The tea should be kept in a dark place, away from strong odor, air or heat.
Turn it off when boils.
Should be all you need.
Warm the little pot where you are going to steep the tea. You can also warm your mug with the same water.
You can start to smell the aromas.
Quickly rinse your tea leaves, but don't take too long! You can skip this step. It just helps the tea leaves open up. Don't worry if some tea falls off, just put it back. The spoon is your friend.
Make sure the rinsing step doesn't steep the tea. Check to see if the leaves are still closed.
Fill with water. Now we are steeping.
Close it. If you don't have a fancy steeping thing just use a cup and put a small plate on top.
Put on a three minute timer or just listen to a song. The longer you steep the tea the stronger it gets.
Sneak peak. Some people do it for less minutes. It's up to you.
You can drink the rinsing/warm water or not. I wouldn't.
Pour your tea out. Use the spoon to help you strain the leaves. Don't burn yourself!
Smell the leaves. Again..
Fancy... The reason why you want to stay away from tea bags is because it blocks the leaves from release its full potential... You wouldn't want that.
You can steep it up to 3/4 times.
Enjoy while reading the newspaper..
