How to Roast Bell Peppers

Roasting your own bell peppers is easy and much cheaper than buying them by the jar.

Supplies

  • Bell peppers, red, yellow or orange.
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Foil
  • Cookie sheet
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Wash peppers.

    Step 2

    Cut peppers in half and seed.

    Step 3

    Place flat side down on foil and spray with cooking spray.

    Step 4

    Roast 20 - 25 minutes until peppers start to brown.

    Step 5

    Lightly cover and allow to cool enough to peel. Covering them makes the skin easier to peel.

    Step 6

    Remove skin and enjoy.
