Ugh. Hate it when this happens? Add some aluminum foil and five minutes to take on (or in this case--off!) even the most obnoxious of glitter polishes.
The line up: Acetone nail polish remover, 10 foil squares, & 10 cotton balls-- let's begin.
Saturate the cotton ball with nail polish remover.
Place on nail adding slight pressure to cover the entire nail.
Take a square of foil and wrap your fingertip fully, making sure to continue to add pressure to the cotton ball onto the nail. Repeat this step on each finger.
Quite attractive, right?
Now take 5 minutes to let your foiled nails soak and occupy your time doing something productive..
...like annoy your cat....
Remove foil and cotton ball one at a time in a twisting motion; the back-and-forth movement will help get rid of any excess glitter.
Looks good! Repeat on each nail; if you reach a nail that doesn't look quite "done"-- add some pressure and wait an extra 1-2 minutes before continuing.
Voila! Glitter free! But not quite done!
Don't forget to give your hands & nails some TLC after drenching them in acetone! Use a nice, thick moisturizer for your hands-- pay close attention to the fingertips.
Adding some cuticle oil always helps improve the look and quality of future manicures; I like China Glaze's Peppermint Oil.
Fin! Now go forth and dissolve away glitter polish, gel nails, shellac, and other UV treated nails with ease!
