Take your loaf out of the Breadmaker.
Find a chopstick or a pencil.
Look at the underside of the loaf. Pick away at the crust around the central hole until you can see the flat side of the paddle hole. This indicates the direction of the blade. Insert the chopstick.
Only insert the chopstick 1 or 2 centimetres. Lever the chopstick away from the 'flat' and the blade will come out.
Put the paddle in the baking pan. Run water to just cover the paddle. Leave for a few minutes so the bits of crust stuck to the paddle and shaft can soak. They then become soft enough to clean easily.
This is the hole that's left. Check out my snapguide 'make a simple bacon sandwich' to see how I used this loaf.
