This guide will give you valuable knowledge about the clubface. The clubface exist on every golfclub. The clubface is the first and last thing that hits the golfball (also called impact)
The clubface has three different states: 1. Square 2. Open 3. Closed
The square clubface is always pointing towards your target.
When hitting the golf ball with the closed clubface the result will be a draw or a hook. When hitting the golf ball with the open clubface the result will be a fade or a slice.
When you next time hits a golf ball, ask your self these questions: Did the ball start straight towards the target? How did the ball flight (hook, draw, fade or slice) look like?
If the first question is yes? Then the ball flight most likely depends on your clubface angle.
Do you slice the ball? If the ball starts to the left and starts slicing from left to right. Your club moves from the outside to the inside of your target line. The clubface are most likely open also.
