Start in stating position with both feet facing forward, then step forward with opposite foot to get ready to make contact. Adding hand out front for stability.
Make contact with the ball with an open racquet face (facing up) slightly infront of body to get more height on the ball.
Follow through by bringing racquet to opposite shoulder. (Think of sniffing your armpit)
Put all your steps together and aim for the deep court to give yourself time to get settled back in ready position.
