This project all came about because the front door handle broke.  I mean, it broke BAD!  lol  We could not get in the house through the front door for a while.

I looked at this for a couple of days, trying to think of what I could do with it.  Then, I came up with an idea!  Using Kathy Adams patina video on a previous post, I started altering the handle.

As instructed, I painted a layer of Truffle Velvet.

Then, a layer of Copper Metal.

With my finger, I smudged some Fiji Velvet around.

I dropped Panache Minx onto the door handle then rubbed in it with my fingers.

I planned on hanging this door handle on a fence.  The wire I had was a stark contrast to the patina door handle so I had to fix that!

I took the patina'd wire and wrapped in through, in, out and around the handle to hold it in place on my wrought iron fence.
