Cut 2 - 2 inch x 2 3/4 inch pieces of your favorite paper or use a cover from one of your collection pads to use as the base of your basket.Round the edges using an edge rounder punch.

Cut card stock into 10 equally sized 1/2 inch x 6 inch long strips preferably white because washi tape is somewhat transparent. Cover each strip using 1 inch wide washi tape.

Take nine strips and cut them in half. You should now have 18 3-inch strips, plus one long 6-inch strip that was uncut.

Cover the bottom side of the outer base piece using double-sided sticky tape. Place one 3-inch strip piece side by side all the way around the edges of the base

This will be where you place your 3-inch strips to begin weaving your basket.

Cut the washi tape into 5 - 12-inch long pieces. Then fold the tape into the middle lengthwise, (think thirds). These strips should be slightly thinner than the 3-inch strips.

Place your other piece of base paper on top of the double-sided tape to form the bottom inside of your basket. And bend the strips over against the edge of the base on all four sides.

Put glue or use glue dots on both of the outside ends of the 12-inch long strips. Now, weave 4 of the 12-inch strips, one by one, through the strips attached to the basket foundation.

Now, wrap the last 12-inch strip around the basket top edge where you placed the double-sided tape. Then trim the exposed pieces of the weave.

You should have one 6-inch strip remaining. Take this strip and using a hole punch, punch a hole at both ends of the strip.  Now, using a brad, fix the handle to the basket and decorate however wish.

Make sure not to punch the hole too close to the edges. Now, punch one hole on both sides just down from the top edge in the middle of the longest sides of the basket.And decorate items you like!
