Gather your ingredients.
Zest and juice lemons. Add eggs to sugar and mix well, you could mix these straight in your small saucepan to save washing up!
Add all ingredients to your small saucepan.
Put water in your medium saucepan over a high heat, place small pan into medium over the boiling water and stir the mix until sugar has dissolved, butter has melted and mixture thickens.
When mixture is a lovely yellow colour and thick enough to draw a line on the back of your spoon it is ready to go into your container of choice. Please take care pouring hot liquids into glass jars!
