How to Make Tomato Basil Salad With Chickpeas

Supplies

  • 1 Can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
  • 1 Pint Grape tomatoes, halved
  • 20 Basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic, chopped
  • 2 Teaspoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ Tablespoons Honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Add chickpeas to a bowl.

    Step 2

    Gather your tomatoes. If you want your salad to be colorful, feel free to use a variety. Cut each tomato in half.

    Step 3

    Add tomatoes to bowl.

    Step 4

    Chop basil. Don't chop too small.

    Step 5

    Add basil to bowl.

    Step 6

    Add garlic.

    Step 7

    Stir well to mix.

    Step 8

    Gather supplies for the dressing.

    Step 9

    Pour red wine vinegar in separate bowl.

    Step 10

    Add apple cider vinegar and olive oil.

    Step 11

    Add honey.

    Step 12

    Add a pinch of salt.

    Step 13

    Whisk well.

    Step 14

    Pour sauce over tomatoes, basil, and chickpeas.

    Step 15

    Stir well. Place in refrigerator to soak up all the flavors. Serve and enjoy!
