How to Make the Best Frozen Smoothie

by Ceira O.

A perfect breakfast, on-the-go or anytime-meal that is completely customizable and can't go wrong.

Supplies

  • 1 banana
  • Frozen fruit
  • Regular or non-dairy milk (or juice)
  • Optional add-ins:
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Fresh or frozen spinach
  • Old Fashioned rolled oats
  • Ice
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Begin with your fruit. A banana is the foundation, but the frozen fruit can be anything from berries to mango to apples...Be creative! I like a combination of strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries.

    Step 2

This is how I peel a banana... A little slower for the demonstration but it usually takes me two seconds.

    Step 3

    Step 4

A few handfuls of frozen fruit.

    Step 5

Add just enough milk (non-dairy or regular to cover the base. (Juice works well too.) Too much will make the smoothie soupy.

    Step 6

    This is good.

    Step 7

Now your optional ingredients: Greek Yogurt for creaminess, rolled oats for texture/substantialness, fresh/frozen spinach for the color green (I swear you can't taste it at all), ice for thickness.

    Step 8

    (Ice not in this photo)

    Step 9

I added rolled oats and Greek yogurt.

    Step 10

    Step 11

    Step 12

    Step 13

    And Voila! Smoothie!

    Step 14

Enjoy! Thanks for watching my guide (and remember, a like is appreciated)!
