How to Make the Best Chicken Parmesan

Supplies

  • Boneless skinless chicken breast (I had 4 large)
  • 1 ½ Cups Italian bread crumbs (I used Planko)
  • ¼ Cups Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Lg ziplock bag
  • 1 ½ Cups Flour
  • 2 Or 3 eggs scrambled
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ Cups Oil (I used olive oil)
  • Large fry pan
  • 1 Box pasta
  • 1 Cup Lg spaghetti sauce
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Trim and cut chicken

    Step 2

    Get your ingredients ready!

    Step 3

    Place your chicken pieces in a ziplog bag (leave room around them) and easily pound them with a rolling pin or mallet until 1/2" thick or so

    Step 4

    Pound all pieces then put in a plate

    Step 5

    Coat bottom of fry pan with oil

    Step 6

    I also add some butter to help with browning & flavor. Heat up until butter is just sizzling

    Step 7

    Get your plates ready one with scrambled raw eggs, one with flour, one with bread crumbs

    Add some Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumbs and stir

    Dredge chicken in egg

    Step 10

    Then in flour

    Step 11

    Then press down into breadcrumbs on both sides

    Step 12

    Put in hot pan and let sizzle and cook about seven to eight mins per side (med heat but want to see sizzling not burning going on!) oh if you could just smell this right now mmmm

    Cook until brown on both sides then remove from pan to a plate

    Step 14

    Drain pan & add sauce, then place chicken single file back in sauce... I love what the sauce does to the taste of the chicken mmm

    Add fresh or shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken piece and add salt & pepper

    Step 16

    Place lid on pan and let simmer ...don't lift lid keep the heat in to melt cheese

    Cheese will melt over Chicken
