Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray cake pan (round, 13x9.. your choice!) with cooking spray, or make cupcakes with cupcake papers.
Mix cake mix with eggs and almond extract. Once mixed as well as you can (it will be dry) gently fold in cherry pie filling until moistened trying not to break apart cherries.
Pour batter into desired cake pan or cupcake tin and bake as directed on your box. Check your cake at the shortest time indicated with a toothpick in at least 2 spots in case you hit a cherry.
Let cake cool and top with frosting! Super easy and very good!
