How to Make Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry

Really good stir fry with Yakisoba noodles.

Supplies

  • Teriyaki sauce
  • 14 Ounces Sirloin steak
  • 2 Garlic cloves, chopped
  • Sesame oil
  • Canola oil
  • Sriracha chili sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger
  • ½ Cabbage head, chopped
  • 2 Carrots, cut in strips or bite size peices
  • 1 Bell pepper, cut in strips
  • ½ Onion, sliced
  • 1 Broccoli head, slices
  • 6 Asparagus spears, cut into 2 inch peices
  • Pea pods, handful
  • Yakisoba noodles
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Partially defrost the beef or freeze for 15 minutes. This will make it much easier to slice.

    Step 2

    Slice the meat very thin. This will make it more tender, go farther, and it will cook faster as well.

    Step 3

    I highly recommend Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce.

    Step 4

    Cover in teriyaki sauce. I used about 1/2 a cup or so. A tasty homemade marinade would be good too.

    Step 5

    You could put it in a zip-top bag or in a covered dish, but I used the vacuum sealer.

    Step 6

    Cut/slice the veggies in uniform pieces so they cook evenly. (garlic, red bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage)

    Step 7

    (pea pods, carrots, onion, asparagus)

    Step 8

    Assemble all the vegetables.

    Step 9

    Soften the noodles by piercing the bags and microwaving for a minute and a half or placing them in warm water for a few minutes. (I discarded the sauce packets.)

    Step 10

    Heat a wok or large frying pan with a few tablespoons canola oil and a few drops of sesame oil over medium high heat.

    Step 11

    Stir fry noodles for a few minutes. Add a splash of teriyaki sauce. Brown them a little. Remove from pan and set aside.

    Step 12

    Heat a little more oil. Add marinated sirloin steak. Cook quickly, just until the pink is gone. Do not over-cook!

    Step 13

    Remove from pan and set aside.

    Step 14

    The trick to stir frying vegetables is to start with what takes the longest to cook, and end with what needs the least time. You want to barely cook each addition. Leave some crunch.

    Step 15

    Add a little more oil. Add garlic, onion, and ginger. Stir for a minute. Add carrots and then asparagus.

    Step 16

    Next add broccoli. When it starts to get a little green add peppers.

    Stir in the cabbage. Add a splash of teriyaki sauce and chili sauce if you want it spicy. Last of all add the pea pods, the noodles, and the beef. Give it a quick stir and it is done!

    Serve and enjoy!
