Get out and prepare all of your ingredients beforehand.
Scald the milk and then immediately turn off the heat.
Mix the milk to prevent it from burning.
Add the salt, sugar, and butter. Allow it to cool.
The butter needs to be melted before you add it to the mixture.
Measure out a 1/4 cup of butter.
Stir in the melted butter.
Mix the warm water and yeast in a large bowl. Stir until the yeast is dissolved.
Stir the milk mixture every once in a while.
Combine the milk mixture and the yeast mixture.
After you have stirred the mixture, beat the two eggs.
Add the eggs and half of the flour to the mixture. Stir it well.
Add the remaining flour gradually and as needed.
Once the dough begins to stick, place it on a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes or until the dough is smooth and stretchy.
The correct form for kneading is fold, push, turn.
The dough should look smooth when you are finished kneading.
Place the dough in a large buttered bowl and move it around a few times to make sure that every side gets coated in butter.
Then, cover the bowl and let the dough sit and rise for an hour.
Make balls out of the dough and place them evenly spaced apart on a greased baking sheet. They need space because they will rise and expand. Place them in the oven at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
When they are finished baking, take them out of the oven and let them cool for 5-10 minutes.
Brush melted butter over the top of the rolls.
You can place whatever topping you would like on them. I chose honey.
The finished roll!
