And put them in your preheated oven for 30 minutes.

30 minutes has passed and we will uncover our hens and return it back to the oven to continue cooking. IF there is some  juice that has accumulated at the bottom remove and set aside.

Put the hens back in the oven for another 30 minutes until browned or until the internal temp in the thickest part of the thigh measures 165 deg

Baste the hens every 15min  with the juice if any.  if you have no juice to baste the hen with, use 1 tbs of melted butter to brush the skin and make it crispy and golden.
