I used transparent paste and my Retro stencil to create the background texture on two cardstock tags.
Next I gave them a coat of gesso.
I've chose two velvet paints to start with, Orchid and Rose. To start out, I sprayed the tags with a little water to get my colors moving.
I just keep adding paint (thicker in some spots) until I like the color.
Next I deepen the colors with my Warm Colorations spray. It's my favorite!
Let a little dribble down! Then I dry with my heat tool.
For little more color interest, I add some Mi Bella Sorbet Paint with my finger in just a few spots.
Now for a magical hint, I brushed over them with some Cotton Velvet Paint. Move quickly or it will loosen the Warm spray!
These girls are pretty small, So I've used some colorations sprays in to dab a little color quickly. Salmon Spray for skin, Wild Orchid for dresses, and then Warm Spray for their hair.
Now I'm drowning them in my Gilded Gold colorations spray!
Now dried, they look much better...I like it! Plus, them shimmer :)
Finish off their hair with more Warm Colorations Spray.
Now I'm coloring some paper clay molded leaves with my Avocado Colorations Spray.
Next I layer some chipboard pieces, my colored gauze, and some wood wool before layering my embellishments and fairies.
Feathers, diecuts, flowers and fairies, you can't go wrong!
Love those layers!
