How to Make Skinny Icy Hot Chocolate

by Jennifer Pilcher

This idea comes from Serendipity 3 in New York where this drink is made with higher fat ingredients and precooking the chocolate mixture, hence the word "hot". My take on this is much simpler!

Supplies

  • Chocolate syrup or cocoa or cocoa mix
  • 1 and 1/2 cup ice
  • Whipped cream - fat free
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • A blender
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Add 1 1/2 cups ice to blender. Then add 1 cup milk and 2 tbls chocolate of your choice and blend.

    Step 2

These all taste great for this recipe. I used the Nesquik in this one.

    Step 3

Blend to a crushed and choppy consistency. You can blend until it's smooth if you prefer.

    Step 4

Poor into a glass. Now it's ready for the cream!

    Step 5

Fat free keeps this drink skinny.

    Step 6

Top with cream and dust with a sweet cocoa powder and enjoy. (This is poured into the homemade red neck wine glass that you can find in my other guide.)

    Step 7

Yum and so refreshing even in winter.
