There are a few types of yarn out there that will work. For these sheep, I chose the skein on the bottom.
Cut two triangular shaped ears from the brown felt.
Add a dot of tacky glue in the middle of the bottom, straight line.
Use a clip to hold ears while glue dries.
Cut twigs to size for four legs.
Position twigs in bigger styrofoam ball & push in.
Stand up and make sure legs are even.
Turn over and one by one, remove a twig, squirt a tab of hot glue in. Immediately put twig back in. Repeat with three other legs.
Unwind a few yards of yarn....
Squirt a dab of tacky glue down, and start winding yarn around body of lamb. Unwind more yarn from skein as needed.
As you go, add a bit more tacky glue to keep yarn in place.
Keep wrapping until body is covered.
Stick a skewer in the smaller styrofoam 'head'...
Wrap the head with yarn just like you did with the body.
After head is wrapped, position end of skewer in the body where you want head placed.
Push in firmly against the body.
Squeeze a dot of glue on front of head for the Pom Pom nose.
Add Pom Pom
Remove ears from clip, they are dry by now.
Squeeze a drop of tacky glue on the side of the head....
Add ear, repeat on other side.
Using different sizes of styrofoam balls, you can make an entire flock.
Baaaaa, Happy Spring!
