How to Make Scrambled Paneer (Bhurgi)

Hearty cottage cheese and vegetable mixture. Great alone, with tortillas/roti or as a sandwich filling (best when grilled/toasted)

Supplies

  • 100 Grams Grated Paneer
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoons Garam masala
  • ½ Teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 Pinch Lemon juice
  • 1 Pinch Coriander
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Deseed the tomato and capsicums and dice finely with the onion and chillies

    Step 2

    Add the butter and tsp of cumin to a medium flame pan. Sauté the onions till translucent

    Step 3

    Add the tomato, chillies and capsicums

    Step 4

    Add a tsp of salt, ½ tsp coriander powder and ¼ tsp garam masala.

    Step 5

    Combine with the grated paneer at low heat

    Step 6

    Garnish with loosely torn coriander and a dash of lemon juice
