How to Make Scallops in Garlic-Butter Sauce

by Geoffrey Bradley

A great dish and easy to prepare.

Supplies

  • Sea Scallops (8-10)
  • 6 Garlic Cloves
  • Sea Salt to taste
  • Ground Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon EVO (Olive Oil)
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter (unsalted)
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    The things you'll need.

    Step 2

    Chop your Garlic...

    Step 3

    Should look like this.

    Step 4

I'm using frozen, so thaw and thoroughly drain, rinse your Scallops and pat dry. Add salt...

    Step 5

Then a little pepper. (this is optional, it's what I like)

    Step 6

In a hot pan, melt your Butter and EVO.

    Step 7

Add your Scallops, seasoned side down.

    Step 8

And then season the face up side.

    Step 9

Don't move them for about 2 minutes and then flip them. Cook for another minute. You don't want them chewy.

    Step 10

    Set them aside.

    Step 11

Save some of the pan drippings and add another tablespoon of Butter. Melt and add the chopped Garlic.

    Step 12

Sauté for a minute to get the Garlic a little crispy, turn down the heat and continue cooking for another minute.

    Step 13

Plate the Scallops and drizzle the Garlic and Butter sauce over the Scallops. Serve right away and enjoy!
