How to Make Rose Water

by Plant Guru

Rose water captures the essence of roses in an easy to use form. Roses are antibacterial, high in vitamin C, and anti-inflammatory. Rose water can be used in drinks, food, or as a cosmetic on skin.

Supplies

  • 4 Cups Distilled Water
  • 2 Cups Rose Petals
  • 1 Pot
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Pick fresh rose petals.

    Step 2

Rinse the rose petals to remove any dirt or bugs.

    Step 3

Add rose petals and water to pot.

    Step 4

Allow petals to steep in steaming, but not boiling, water. The steeping process is finished once the petals have lost their color.

    Step 5

    Strain petals from mixture.

    Step 6

Rose water stays fresh longer if refrigerated. Now you can use this water in cocktails, in a traditional Indian lassi, or even on your skin.
