Turn burner on to medium-high heat (My burner could use a good wipe down 🙈)
Pour in measured cup of milk (1 cup)
Get ingredients ready (hot chocolate is optional, but that's what makes it a café mocha!) I used three Jos Louis and Nescafé instant Colombian coffee
Once the milk is hot and starts steaming, break up Jos Louis and add to the milk
Turn burner down to medium-low heat
Roll your whisk to blend it up better. A spoon or whatever you please will work (if no whisk is handy), I find a whisk just makes the process faster.
Once all blended together in one cohesive colour, add your instant coffee (use measurements as recommended from your instant coffee)
Now, half of the hot chocolate pouch (I used After Eight's dark chocolate peppermint, any mix is just as good!)
Now, the magic. Add your red food colouring, I did 5 drops at a time, mixed it, then repeated until desired colour
I know it smells amazing, but you're just about finished!! Now all you need to do is strain it. I strained it twice, although if you enjoy texture I don't see not straining it to be a bad thing!
Unfortunately, I have no whip cream. Finish it off with mountain tall whip cream and sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa powder. This drink is PERFECT for the fall/winter. I hope you all enjoy!! ☕️
