How to Make Pumpkin Scones With Spice Glaze

Pumpkin scones with a spiced glaze. These are absolutely delicious and easy to make!

Supplies

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 7 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ Teaspoons Salt
  • ½ Teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ½ Teaspoons Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ Teaspoons Ground cloves
  • 6 Tablespoons Cold butter
  • ½ Cups Canned pumpkin
  • 3 Tablespoons Half and half
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • ⅛ Teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ¼ Teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 Pinch Cloves
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat oven to 425F. Some ingredients are repeated because they are used in two different glazes

    Step 2

    Gather ingredients for the scones.

    Step 3

    Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and spices to a large bowl

    Step 4

    Add butter in cubes

    Step 5

    Use a fork to cut butter so it mixes with the flour

    Step 6

    In a small bowl are the pumpkin, egg and milk

    Step 7

    Wisk together

    Step 8

    Add to dry mix

    Step 9

    Fold in the pumpkin mix until it forms a dough

    Step 10

    Flour your work surface

    Step 11

    Form the dough into a rectangle about 1inch thick

    Step 12

    Cut into sections using a pizza cutter or knife

    Step 13

    Iine a baking tray with parchment paper

    Step 14

    Bake for 16 minutes

    Step 15

    Mix powdered sugar and milk

    Step 16

    Glaze scones

    With extra glaze add spices

    Drizzle over scones
