How to Make Perfect Over-Easy (Basted) Eggs in 30 Seconds

by World Seasonings

My grandma taught me this trick and it is the way have have cooked over-easy eggs the last 30+ years. Perfect eggs to dip sourdough toast with butter in!

Supplies

  • Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • ΒΌ Cups Water
  • Instructions

    Step 1

All you need is a good pan with a lid, a little butter, couple eggs and a some salt n' pepper.

    Step 2

Usually I will cook 2-4 eggs at a time when doings this. But for this guide I think one is better for demonstration purposes. I had to break the video into 2 clips...

    Step 3

It takes a little longer than 30 seconds from start to finish, but once you add the water it should take about 30 seconds. Otherwise you will end up with over-medium eggs...which is okay too.

    Step 4

If you really want to makes eggs better than any you have ever tried, my seasoning blends are fantastic for them. #1 French Made Easy is amazing on eggs: scrambled, omelette or even in a frittata!
