How to Make Mushroom Soup

  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic
  • 50g Butter
  • 300g Mushrooms
  • Fresh Thyme or dried mixed herbs
  • 1 pint of chicken or veg stock
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Chop the mushrooms

    Step 2

    Chop the onions

    Step 3

    Chop the garlic

    Step 4

    Melt the butter in the pan on a medium heat

    Step 5

    Add the onions to the pan and sweat them for 5 minutes

    Step 6

    Add the Garlic a sweat for another 5 minutes

    Step 7

    Add the Mushrooms and stir in

    Step 8

    Sweat for another 5 minutes

    Step 9

    Measure out 1 Pint of boiling water and chose a stock cube or jelly

    Step 10

    Add stock to water and stir until dissolved

    Step 11

    Pour stock into pan and simmer for 10 minutes

    Step 12

    When cooked, remove pan from heat and blend until all ingredients are smooth

    Step 13

    When blended, you can add a large splash of single cream or alternative. Add herbs and stir in. Done! Serve and enjoy.
