How to Make Monkey Nut Cookies

No monkey business here! So good; moist and chewy, you won't believe there are bananas in these cookies.

Supplies

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • ¾ Cups Brown sugar
  • ¾ Cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla extract
  • 1 Small, ripe banana
  • 2 ½ Cups All purpose flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 Teaspoon Coarse salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 Cup White chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup Milk chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup Walnuts or any other kind you prefer
  • This recipe yields about 48 cookies

    Step 1

    Gather the ingredients

    In the mixing bowl; butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar & vanilla.

    Step 4

    Cream together.

    Step 5

    Add eggs one at a time and mix until we'll blended.

    Step 6

    Add the other egg and blend.

    Step 7

    Slice the bananas.

    Step 8

    Add bananas and blend until somewhat smooth.

    Step 9

    With the bananas blended, the batter does take on a wet appearance.

    Step 10

    Add the dry ingredients; flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda.

    Step 11

    Mix just until the flour is almost in blended in.

    Step 12

    Add the white chocolate, milk chocolate chips and the walnuts.

    Step 13

    All blended together. I love cookie dough!

    Step 14

    I use a #40 scoop (can be purchased at kitchen or craft stores) , or you can use 2 table spoons to scoop the cookie dough.

    Scoop cookies onto parchment or onto non stick cookie sheets.

    Step 16

    Bake at 350f for 12 - 15 minutes until golden brown.
