Pour remaining 11 cups water and 1 cup Castle Soap in 5 gallon bucket. Also add essential oils if you choose.
Once water has come to a boil. Turn off burner and stir in 1 cup Washing Soda and 1/2 cup Borax. Stir until dissolved.
Carefully and slowly pour hot soap water from pan into bucket. Do not worry about suds, the mixture doesn't get too bubbly.
Stir all the soaps together and let cool.

Most detergents we at familiar with are laden with chemicals and use artificial fragrance and dyes. None of which is good for you.
But Now you have an all natural detergent that is way better for you and your family than the mystery blue liquid! Use 1/2 lid for normal laundry and a full lid for really dirty clothes or XL load.
Your detergent will gel up completely, which is totally normal. Just shake it up a bit to loosen it before use.
Don't worry if your detergent has a strong fragrance. The scent will be diluted by the washing process.
For this guide I used Dr. Bronners Almond soap and Vanilla essential oil. For sensitive skin use Dr. Bronners scent free baby soap and omit the essential oil.
