I love the taste of home website. They have so many tasty recipes. The following is one my familias favorite.☺️
The first thing we do is clean and peel a nice piece off the center of our small potatoes, than we give them a quick rinse.
Take a large pot of cold water and set it over medium high heat. Immediately after, add the potatoes and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20min or until fork tender. Add salt to the water if you want.
Let's make the lemony sauce that we will pour over our potatoes. Take a small pot, set it over medium low heat and add the butter. While the butter melts let's work on the rest of the ingredients.
Zest the lemon.
Chop the fresh parsley
To the now melted butter add the zest of the lemon
The chopped parsley
The lemon juice, add as much or as little as you want.
The cracked black pepper
And the nutmeg
And lastly the salt. You can also add any other herbs or spices you think might pair well with the potatoes. Go ahead play around make it your own.
Stir this for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
The potatoes are cooked.lets remove them with a colander and set it aside .
I put my warm potatoes in a pan. This is optional. You can keep the potatoes in a bowl and just pour the sauce over it.
I'm adding the lemony sauce to my potatoes.
The sauce will be tossed gently into my potatoes..
Serve warm. This dish goes well with any fish dish or steak, your choice 😬. Right on time for the Xmas holidays🎄🎁
This potato dish is flavored lightly with lemon and parsley. The flavors are not overpowering. It's a good compliment to seafood dishes. This serves 6 people. ENJOY
