How to Make Jewish Penicillin AKA Chicken Soup

The beauty of this soup is that u can prepare it in the morning before you leave to work and then leave it to cook fa the duration of the day anf have a heartly meal when u get home... Hmmmmmmmm.....

Supplies

  • 6 qt pot
  • Water
  • 2 Wrap N boil bags
  • 1 Pack of chicken bones
  • 1 Onion
  • 10 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Red Bell pepper
  • 1 Bag Of carrots
  • 2 Medium zucchini
  • 2 Medium sweet potato
  • 1 Turnip
  • 4 Stalks celery
  • 2 Tablespoons Salt
  • Some black pepper
  • Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Instant Chicken soup mix
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Fill a 6 qt pot halfway with water and turn heat to high

    Step 2

    Take two wrap n boil bags

    Step 3

    Place the chkn bones into a wrap n boil bag

    Step 4

    Put it into the water

    Step 5

    Prepare veggies that wont be eaten... Onions, garlic, tomato and pepper

    Step 6

    Cut them into quarters

    Step 7

    Place into second wrap n boil bag

    Step 8

    Place into soup

    Step 9

    Prepare veggies that will b eaten... Carrots, zucchini, sweet potato, Turnip and...

    Step 10

    Celery

    Step 11

    Peel carrots

    Step 12

    Cut them in half and then in half lengthwise

    Step 13

    Put into soup

    Step 14

    Peel zucchini

    Step 15

    Cut in half and then in half lengthwise and put into soup

    Step 16

    Peel sweet potato

    Step 17

    Cut into quarters and put into soup

    Step 18

    Peel and quarter turnip

    Step 19

    Spice soup with 2 tbsp salt, pepper, paprika and a tsp of chicken instant soup mix

    Step 20

    Bring to a boil

    Step 21

    Lower flame... And let simmer for 4-6 hrs

    This is some heavenly chicken soup!! I can never have enough....
