I started with half recipes of red velvet cake, carrot cake and vanilla bean cake.
Cut off the rounded top of the cake so that you have a flat top.
Use any shape cookie cutter you'd like. I started with a heart shaped cutter but switched to a round cutter.
Cut three pieces for each serving and set aside.
Find any shaped piping tip that you desire. I have chosen simple star tips.
Place your first layer on your serving tray.
Place your piping tip in a piping bag and fill with your desired filling. I am using white chocolate mousse and vanilla buttercream.
Pipe your filling into each piece of cake. This is white chocolate mousse.
Cover with your second piece of cake. You can stop here but I was going for drama. 😉
Pipe more filling onto the second layer and cover with your last piece of cake.
Pipe on a cute little swirl of buttercream and add your decorations.
All done! I am leaving my sides unfrosted so my guests can see the different flavors.
