Boil a pot of water. Add the box of uncooked macaroni and boil 8-10 minutes.
Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
While macaroni is cooking, shred cheese (or you can buy it already shredded.)
Drain macaroni. Pour half of the pot into the dish.
Sprinkle half the cheese on top of the macaroni. Then repeat by adding the rest of the macaroni, then the rest of the cheese.
Cut butter into slices and place on top of macaroni and cheese.
Measure 1 cup of milk. Crack two eggs and add them to the milk.
Stir milk and eggs with a whisk to blend well.
Pour milk and egg mixture evenly on top of the macaroni and cheese.
Cover the top of your macaroni and cheese with your choice of bread crumbs. I prefer a combination of Panko, found in the Oriental/Asian food aisle, and crushed Ritz crackers.
Bake for 20 minutes at 425 degrees. Around 10 minutes you might want to cover the top with aluminum foil to prevent cracker crumbs from burning.
Serve and enjoy! Yes, even YOU can make homemade Mac and Cheese! Have fun!
