Get a packet of McCormick Grill Mate Southwest Marinade n prepare according to directions on the back
1tsp of this lovely sauce I only just learned to pronounce! Worcestershire Sauce!
A tbsp of whatever Mesquite blend you prefer;)
And a tbsp of Liquid Smoke
Mix together with the marinade and a cup of water.
Take you meat, I decided to try with a top steak today but any kind will do. Even ground hamburger works for this recipe!
Cut into strips of about 1/4 in width(I've found tht putting it in the freezer for 15mins before cutting makes it easier to cut)
Pour half the sauce into a bowl then place meat into the bowl. Poor rest of sauce over meat. (I had another steak so I marinated it with the rest;)) let sit for 4 hours or overnight in the fridge
Get a small roasting rack and preheat oven to 200 degrees
Cover a cookie sheet with tin foil before standing rack on it. Place the meat strips along it as shown.
Put in oven for up to 2-4hours depending on desired dryness.
Place upon a plate and enjoy;)
