How to Make Homemade Granola Bars (Vol. 2)

by Anne-Mette Pedersen

From this recipe: Around 16 medium sized bars

  • 75 Grams Chopped almonds
  • 200 Grams Oatmeal
  • 40 Grams Flaxseed
  • 30 Grams Pumpkin seeds
  • 30 Grams Sunflower seeds
  • 3 Tablespoons Freeze-dried strawberries
  • 75 Grams Butter
  • 100 Grams Sugar
  • 100 Grams Syrup
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Ingrediens needed. Note: I ended up using freeze-dried strawberries instead of chocolate! So imagine strawberries instead of chocolate on this picture :-)

    Step 2

This is the freeze-dried strawberries I used

    Step 3

Mix all of the dry ingredients together

    Step 4

Melt butter, sugar and syrup in a pan over low heat until the sugar has melted (so it no longer crunches)

    Step 5

Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture...

    Step 6

    ... and mix well.

    Step 7

It should look something like this

    Step 8

Add the mixture to an oven-proof form of approx. 12 x 20 cm lined with baking paper and press it together.

    Step 9

To get it as smooth as possible, you can add a piece of baking paper over the mixture and press it flat and evenly with a rolling pin

    Step 10

    Like this!

    Step 11

Bake the mixture at 175 ° C for approx. 20 min.

    Step 12

    Mmmmm :)

    Step 13

When baked, it should look something like this. It is very important that you let it cool completely before cutting it into bars; if not the bars will break and become muesli instead!

    Step 14

    Step 15

    Step 16

Store in an airtight container, so they do not lose their crispness.
