Use any candy you have in your home, you can also use candy to decorate if you like.
Get all you ingredients ready, this is going to be fun!
Melt the chocolate in the microwave. You can use a double boiler or other more complicated methods if you prefer, but the microwave will do the trick.
Set your microwave to 15 seconds when melting the chocolate. This way you’ll ensure that the chocolate melts evenly and won’t burn. Repeat as many times as necesary.
Use cotton swabs and alcohol to clean the egg-shaped molds. Afterwards, use the brush to slowly cover the mold with molten chocolate. Clean the edges with a dry cloth.
Allow the molds to stand for 10 minutes and then place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then apply a second chocolate cover and set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
This time, when you put the molds in the fridge, make sure you place them in the opposite orientation from the time before for the chocolate to spread evenly.
Bring the molds and prepare your work space. Here comes the best part of this recipe!
Very carefully, remove the egg shell from the mold.
Fill one of the egg halves with multicolor candy, sweets, a note or anything you’d like.
Use your brush to apply molten chocolate to the borders of the shell.
Carefully, place the other half on top so you can fuse the two halves together.
Carefully...Place the egg on a stand so that the seams can harden. I use a cardboard circle to place the egg on top. Let the egg stand for 10 minutes in room temperature.
Decorate the seams with molten white chocolate. This chocolate has to be much more dense than the one you used to make the egg shells. Make sure that the chocolate is creamy but not too liquid.
Move the pipe back and forward to get the ribbons, use a decorating tip for the pastry bag.
Once the egg is sealed, decorate the front. You can use white chocolate or dye the chocolate with food coloring, make small leaves and attach a flower made of sugar or decorate any way you’d like.
This is the time to let your imagination and creativity soar!
Enjoy with family and friends! Happy Easter!
