Collect supplies. 2 cups blackberries, 2 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Mash the blackberries using a spoon
Add mashed blackberries, sugar and lemon juice to a small saucepan. Cook on Med to High heat for 5 minutes.
Lower temperature to Low for 15 minutes to allow mixture to simmer.
Skim off any foam that has collected at the top. I again used a spoon or this.
Allow to cool and pour blackberry jam in a heat resistance jar or bowl (mason or ball Jar). Let this cool and it will thicken on its own. Enjoy!
