How to Make Healthy Chicken Nuggets

Supplies

  • 2 Pounds Thin sliced chicken breast
  • 1 Cup Panko bread crumbs
  • ⅔ Cups King Arthur whole wheat flour
  • ½ Cups Egg Substitute
  • ½ Teaspoons Salt
  • ½ Teaspoons Onion powder
  • 1 Pinch Black pepper
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Cut you chicken into chunks

    Step 2

    Add your salt, onion powder & black pepper and mix with flour.

    Step 3

    Baked your Panko breadcrumbs for 6 mins @400 degrees or until golden.

    Step 4

    Coat your chicken into flour mix on both sides

    Step 5

    Then dip chicken chunk into egg mixture evenly.

    Step 6

    Now coat your chicken in Panko bread crumbs evenly

    Step 7

    Now place your chicken nuggets into the oven on a cookie sheet and if you have a wire rack place it over(This makes them extra crispy) At 450 degrees bake each side at 6 mins for total of 12 mins.

    Step 8

    All done! Here's a healthy alternative to one of America's favorite food "Chicken Nuggets" without the frying, processed meat and half the calories. Enjoy :-)
