How to Make Ham & Cheese Chicken

by Karin Siöö

I admit this dish hasn't much color, but the flavor is superb. It all depends on the cheese though, an aged cheese is needed.

Supplies

  • Chicken fillets
  • 100 Grams Smoked ham
  • 400 Milliliters Creme fraiche
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Parsley
  • 150 Milliliters Grated cheese
  • Salt & pepper
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Turn on the oven at 225 C.

    Step 2

Lay out the ham and chop it.

    Step 3

    Like so.

    Step 4

Give the chicken fillets some color. Season with salt & pepper.

    Step 5

Place the chicken fillets into an oven container.

    Step 6

Mix creme fraiche with mustard. I used both Dijon mustard and another kind that's "strong & sweet".

    Step 7

    Add chopped parsley.

    Step 8

Stir and add the chopped ham.

    Step 9

Add grated cheese. It should be an aged cheese.

    Step 10

Spread the ham/mustard mix on top. Cook in the oven for about 20 min.

    Step 11

The chicken is ready when the meat is white (and the liquid from the meat isn't pink).

    Step 12

Serve with rice, potatoes or simply a salad.
