How to Make Granola

One of my Mom's favorite snack recipe called Granola!


  • 5 ½ Cups Oats
  • 1 Cup Coconut
  • 1 Cup Slivered Almonds
  • ¾ Cups Canola Oil
  • ½ Cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cups Honey
  • 3 Teaspoons Vanilla
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat oven to 300 degree under bake mode.

    Step 2

    Measure out and add 5 1/2 cups of oats.

    Step 3

    Measure out and add 1 cup of coconut.

    Step 4

    Measure out and add 1 cup of slivered almonds.

    Step 5

    Measure out and add 3/4 cup of canola oil.

    Step 6

    Measure out and add 1/2 cup of honey.

    Step 7

    Measure out and add 1/2 cup of brown sugar.

    Step 8

    Mix the canola oil, honey and brown sugar into a microwaveable bowl and microwave it until it dissolves a little.

    Step 9

    After, add 3 teaspoons of vanilla into the mixture.

    Step 10

    Pour the mixture into a bigger bowl with the oats, coconut and almonds.

    Step 11

    Stir everything together well for a few minutes.

    Step 12

    Pour the product and spread it out on a large cookie sheet.

    Step 13

    Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar over the granola.

    Step 14

    Put it in the oven and bake it at 300 degrees for 10 minutes.

    Step 15

    After 10 minutes, stir around the contents throughout the sheet. Repeat this step for 2 more 10 minute increments.

    Step 16

    After baking is complete, dump the content into a brown paper bag.

    Step 17

    Shake the bag to remove excess oil and then the granola is complete!
