How to Make Grandma's Homemade Salsa

Learn to make my grandma's homemade salsa.

Supplies

  • 2 14-1/2 oz. cans stewed tomatoes, drained and minced
  • 1 Round onion, minced
  • 1 4 oz. can chopped olives
  • 2 Bell pepper, minced
  • 1 8 oz. Kraft Zesty Italian dressing (any brand)
  • 2 Bunches Chinese parsley, minced (optional)
  • Few sprigs green onions, sliced
  • Jalapeños to taste
  • Dash sugar, dash garlic salt, dash oregano
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    These are your ingredients.

    Step 2

    Drain two 14-1/2 oz. cans of stewed tomatoes and mince.

    Step 3

    Cut your round onion in half.

    Step 4

    Cut the ends off both halves of the onions.

    Step 5

    Chop all the onions so that they can be minced in a food processor.

    Step 6

    Thoroughly mince the onions.

    Step 7

    Mix the tomatoes and the onions together.

    Step 8

    Cut your bell pepper stems off. Then cut them in half.

    Step 9

    Cut both bell peppers into small enough pieces so they can be minced.

    Step 10

    After mincing your first bell pepper add it to your tomatoes and onions.

    Step 11

    Add your second bell pepper.

    Step 12

    Add the amount of olives that you would like.

    Step 13

    Add 8 oz. of your zesty Italian Dressing.

    Step 14

    Mix all of your salsa together.

    Step 15

    Then you will add your jalapeños. This is added little by little, to taste.

    Step 16

    Mix your jalapeños in and taste the salsa before adding more.

    Step 17

    Lastly you will add a dash of salt, a dash of oregano, and a dash of garlic salt.

    Now I hope you enjoy your homemade salsa. It will go well with tortilla scoops chips.
