How to Make Grandma's Fried Rice

Supplies

  • 1 head organic garlic
  • 6 each large organic eggs
  • 2 cups cooked organic jasmine fried rice
  • Organic reduced sodium soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 bunch organic green onion
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Mince garlic cloves (4-5 cloves...depending how garlicky you prefer)

    Step 2

    Cut green onions into small circles about 1/8 or 1/4 inch thick

    Step 3

    Heat up extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet (or if you have a wok, that is ideal) just enough to coat the bottoms and sides

    Step 4

    Once olive oil is heated up, add in mince garlic (it should sizzle a little)

    Step 5

    Stir every minute until garlic is lightly browned

    Step 6

    Add in eggs (I personally like about 2 eggs and 3 additional egg whites...do to your desired preference)

    Step 7

    Cook until egg is done (not raw and gooey)

    Step 8

    Add in low sodium soy sauce to deglaze and flavor egg. Add salt and pepper to taste

    Step 9

    Add in jasmine white rice (or brown rice, quinoa, etc) and mix together. Taste and add more salt, pepper, or soy sauce to desired taste (I like mine more peppery than salty)

    Step 10

    Garnish with green onion and enjoy! Simple and delicious 😊
