Boil water for tea
Peel, cut, and mash fresh ginger. Add cardamom pods & black pepercorns.
Add fennel or fennel powder. Mash or grind all of the spices. Add to tea pot when the water is boiling.
Add an equal part milk to water.
Do not adjust the temperature on the pot.
Add loose tea once milk is boiling.
The mixture should turn a light, milky brown.
Sugar to taste–this tea is often very sweet.
