WARNING: since we are frying the ice cream and working with hot oil be EXTRA careful.
Scoop ice cream out into balls and place it on a parchment paper. Place in the freezer for an hour
Place corn flakes into a bag, release the air and use a rolling pin to crush it into pieces.
Make sure the pieces are not too big but not super crumby at the same time. Pour it into a relatively flat plate.
Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Im using 3 eggs for 4 fried ice creams. i think you can get away with only using 2.
Beat the egg whites.
First dip the ice cream balls into the egg whites, then cover in corn flakes. Im using gloves so the heat from my hand wont melt the ice cream as quickly. This is a relatively messy process.
Place back in the freezer for 3 hours
you know the oil is hot when you take a piece of cereal and drop it in
fry the ice cream about 15 seconds per side
