How to Make Fishhead Tofu Soup

  • A large fish head and some fish meat
  • Oil
  • 1 Leek
  • A block of soft tofu
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Mushrooms
  • Cooking wine
  • Water
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Cut up thin slices of winter melon

    Step 2

    Cut up garlic,the white part of a leek, and garlic

    Step 3

    Cooking wine

    Step 4

    Marinate washed and cut up fish head in cooking wine

    Step 5

    Also marinate fish with a little bit of salt

    Step 6

    Oil to pot

    Step 7

    Stirfry garlic, leek, and ginger, then toss in fish

    Step 8

    Add enough water to partially cover the fish

    Step 9

    Add in winter melon and some mushrooms, if you want

    Step 10

    Add a spoon of sugar, or you can substitute with two tomatoes

    Step 11

    Cover and let gently boil

    Step 12

    Chop up soft tofu

    Step 13

    After it boils for about 20 minutes, add cooking wine again

    Step 14

    Add tofu

    Step 15

    Let boil for an hour and then enjoy! Be careful of bones...
