How to Make "Fasolada" Bean Soup

A recipe on how to make "fasolada" , a white bean soup, a typical Greek dish. Pictures and recipe thanks to my colleague Eirini who also cooked the "fasolada'. This recipe is part of an etwinning programme.

Supplies

  • 500 kilograms of white beans
  • 1 onion cut in very small pieces
  • 2 carrots in slices
  • 1 celery
  • 1 green pepper cut in pieces
  • ¼ Cups of olive oil
  • ½ Cups of tomato juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Boil the beans until they are soft and then drain them

    Step 2

    Heat some oil in the same deep pan

    Step 3

    When the oil is warm add the onion in the pan

    Step 4

    Then add the beans and the carrots

    Step 5

    Then add the tomato juice

    Step 6

    Then add the pepper

    Step 7

    Then add the celery

    Step 8

    Add some salt

    Step 9

    Also add some pepper

    Step 10

    You add some water and boil it for 45 minutes. Bon Appetit!
