How to Make Easy & Quick Spanish Rice

Supplies

  • ½ Cups Onion
  • 2 Garlic
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 Sazón pack
  • 1 Chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 Cups Long grain rice
  • 1 Tablespoon Bay leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons Cumin powder
  • 8 Ounces Tomato sauce
  • 4 Cups Water
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Heat olive oil over medium heat. When oil is warm, sauté onions and garlic about 1 min. Do not let it burn. So keep stirring...

    Step 2

    Add the rice and mix...

    Step 3

    Add the (Goya) Sazón spice packet, mix it in...

    Step 4

    Stir and completely cover rice with seasoning...

    Step 5

    Add tomato sauce and stir...

    Step 6

    Add water and mix it up thoroughly...

    Step 7

    Add Cumin powder...

    Step 8

    Crumble up the Chicken Bouillon cube to pieces and mix it up...

    Step 9

    Add your bay leaves (crush up the whole leaves)...

    Step 10

    Keep stirring to make sure all ingredients are evenly distributed...

    Cover and set to cook over low heat...

    Step 12

    Cook on low heat for 30 mins. Always watch your cooking. Tip: Within 15 mins you can lift up lid, take a peek at it, lightly mix up the rice mixture and re-cover to cook for the remaining 15 mins.
