Take some potatoes. I used 12 small potatoes. 6 medium sized potatoes will do.
Wash all potatoes. I used 12 small potatoes. 6 medium sized potatoes will do.
Lay out potatoes on cutting board
Peel the potatoes using small slices with a peeler.
Slice all peeled potatoes in half
Put peeled, sliced potatoes in a pot
Fill pot with water.
Fill just above potatoes
Put pot on stove on high until boiling
Once at a rolling boil turn down to low or 3 for about 25 mins or until potatoes are soft.
Wait 25 minutes or until potatoes are soft
Pour water out of pot
Add 1/2 cup milk. You add the said amount the first time.
Add 1/4 stick of butter
Melt butter on low on top of potatoes
Mash potatoes. (Sorry about my dads mumbling. He loves narrating while he cooks.)
Add 1/4 cup milk to make creamy. Continue to mash and mix until creamy.Then based on how creamy you want your mashed potatoes you add no more than the listed amount.
Serve. Add some gravy and your delicious, creamy mashed potatoes are done. Enjoy.
